This moved the New York Yankees one win from their fourth consecutive trip to the World Series. His two-run homer off Kazuhiro Sasaki in the ninth inning that night ended a wild and gritty game, giving New York a 3-1 victory against Seattle and a 3-1 lead in the AL Championship Series.
