Clay Buchholz threw a no-hitter in his second major-league start on September 1, 2007. Clay became the 21st rookie to throw a no-hitter, the third pitcher since 1900 to throw a no-hitter in his first or second major-league start and the first-ever Red Sox rookie to throw a no-hitter! Setting records and making history at age 23, Clay has accomplished a feat that Roger Clemens, Pedro Martinez and Curt Schilling never did in a Red Sox uniform.
