This official Rawlings baseball is signed by Jim Lonborg, and has the inscription " Mantles last HR, #536, 9-20-68".

"Gentleman Jim" is mainly remembered for his gutsy performance in the 1967 World Series, after his Cy Young 246-strikeout career season. He had compiled just a 19-27 record in his first two seasons before stepping up to lead the Red Soc to their first pennant in 31 years! His final game came on June 10, 1979, and he currently works as a dentist in Scituate, Massachusetts. In his 15-year career, he compiled a 157-137 record, 1475 strikeouts, a 3.86 ERA, 24 completed games, 15 shutouts, and 2464.1 innings in 425 games.

Jim Lonborg was selected to the Boston Red Sox Hall of Fame in 2002.
