Edward ""Whitey"" Ford's control and precision as pitcher of the New York Yankees is what led team manager Casey Stengel to refer to him as the ""money pitcher."" The eight-time All-Star won 10 of his 22 World Series appearances the most pitcher appearances ever and earned the Cy Young Award in 1961. Bill Skowron and Whitey Ford have each hand signed this 8x10 black and white photograph of the Yankees celebrating in the clubhouse after winning Game Six of the World Series against the Brooklyn Dodgers on October 3 1955 at Yankee Stadium. Ford pitched a complete game and Skowron hit a three-run homer to pace the Yankees in their victory over the Dodgers 5-1. A Steiner Sports Certificate of Authenticity is included.
