Football Display Cases

Remember the dusty old football display cases in your local highschool? Maybe you were state champs in 1972, or even took the regional varsity title in 1947? Sports memorabilia enthusiasts, even those who've never played in the NFL, are now looking to these football display cases as time capsules from a golden age. There's a vintage leather helmet, or the black and white team photo showing the first African American player to make the team.

Schools looking to reconnect with their past are updating these mini-museums, often placing them more prominently or otherwise sprucing them up. "A lot of history has been lost," one coach says sadly. "No one knew what they had and priorities were different."
