Hailed as the National League Rookie of the year in 1977, Andre Dawson was first drafted by the Montreal Expos. It was in 1977 when he was able to accomplish a .282 hit with 19 homers and 65 powerful runs batted in. A former Major League Baseball outfielder, Dawson was born in Miami, Florida on July 10, 1954. Dawson is called The Hawk and he had incredibly played 1,443 games with the Montreal Expos which is the fourth highest in franchise history.

 

The Expos had drafted him in 1975 and in the following year, he had played 24 major league games.
