A former right-handed baseball pitcher that played for the St. Louis Cardinals from the seasons of 1959 to 1975, Bob Gibson that was born in Omaha, Nebraska on November 9, 1935 had the record setting career in the league that made him to be elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1981.

 

He was known in his early career as a sport minded youth that was good in playing basketball and baseball.
