They may have gotten off to a slow start, but David Wright and the New York Mets are right back in the pennant race.  Can Carlos Beltran, starting pitcher Pedro Martinez and shortstop Jose Reyes keep this team in the playoff hunt through September?

They’ll have stiff competition in the National League from the Chicago Cubs.  The team from the North Side hasn’t won a championship since 1908 and, based on how they’ve been playing this year, they look just about ready for a World Series win.  The Los Angeles Dodgers recently picked up Manny Ramirez from the Red Sox.  Will Ramirez’s bat in their line-up be the key to winning the NL West?

The New York Yankees aren’t on top of the AL East right now, but don’t count them out of the playoff race yet.  Despite injuries to key players like Alex Rodriguez and Chien-Ming Wang, the team is still over .500 and looking good going into August.   Can Mariano Rivera and Derek Jeter keep the momentum going?  Not if the Boston Red Sox can help it.  They may not have gotten Curt Schilling back, but with David Ortiz healthy again, this team is definitely still a playoff contender.

Every season, there are always baseball milestones to celebrate and great players of the past to commemorate.  Celebrate Josh Hamilton’s record 28 homeruns in this year’s Home Run Derby by adding a signed Josh Hamilton baseball to your collection.  Or, pick up a signed Barry Bond’s baseball or Willie Mays collectible for your San Francisco Giants collection.  And it’s always a good idea to pick up a piece of Joe DiMaggio or Babe Ruth memorabilia for your Yankees collection.  Braves fan, check out our Hank Aaron memorabilia.  And no baseball collection is truly complete without a piece of Mickey Mantle memorabilia!
